Ashish Jha, MD, MPH, Healthcare Keynote Speaker

Book Ashish Jha, MD, MPH through The Keynote Curators, Healthcare Division

Biography

Dr. Ashish Jha is the Dean of the Brown University School of Public Health and a practicing internal medicine physician. He served as the White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator from 2022 to 2023 and is one of the most-cited senior voices in U.S. healthcare on hospital systems, public health, pandemic preparedness, and value-based care. He has authored hundreds of peer-reviewed papers on health system performance and is a regular commentator in major media on healthcare policy.

For hospital systems, payor strategy summits, medical-association meetings, and policy-focused audiences, Ashish brings something rare among senior public-health voices: he is a working physician with deep operational and policy experience, and he is unusually direct about what works and what does not. His keynotes regularly cover the structural challenges facing U.S. hospitals, the lessons of the pandemic for public health and clinical leadership, the trajectory of value-based care, and the workforce dynamics now reshaping clinical staffing.

His current work focuses on three threads: how hospital systems should think about the next pandemic, the operational and financial physics of value-based care, and the public-health workforce and leadership crisis. He is exceptional for hospital board offsites, payor strategy summits, medical-association meetings, and any audience that wants a careful, evidence-led keynote rather than a high-energy headline.

Ashish is direct, deeply prepared, and one of the most rebooked healthcare-policy voices on the circuit. He customizes every keynote and is unusually willing to share his framework for how senior healthcare leaders should be thinking about a given strategic question.

Testimonials

"Dr. Ashish Jha spoke to our group today about the pandemic generally and specifically about vaccines. The preparation for the session was smooth. Dr. Jha made himself available and helped think through the organization and flow. The presentation itself went without a hitch. Dr. Jha presented some prepared remarks and then took about 20 minutes of questions. Throughout the presentation, Dr. Jha was profoundly knowledgeable, spoke about current (i.e. yesterday) information with comfort and command of the topic, was flexible to adapt to the questions, and most importantly, had a kind of humanity and approachability with his style that made the content attractive and digestible. He personalized some of his remarks and made the topic easier for folks to understand. In short, Dr. Jha did a great job and we are supremely grateful. For what it's worth, his role in promoting public health understanding may be among the most important roles for public health people. We need more people like Dr. Jha."
Dr. Joshua Newman, SVP, Strategic Customer Advisor, Salesforce
"I wanted to send our enormous thanks for being our honored guest on our Wednesdays with Woodward webinar yesterday. The conversation came at such a pivotal time in the pandemic, and your vast knowledge and approachable style certainly helped inspire confidence in the vaccines, provide clarity about the current situation and give hope for the country – not an easy thing to do these days! We appreciate your willingness to share your public health expertise with our attendees, and believe the number of audience questions we received was testament to what a trusted voice you are during this pandemic. We have received such positive feedback already about the program, and are so thankful for your time."
Joan Woodward, President, The Travelers Institute
"A note of gratitude for joining our @Work Summit today. What a gift to see what previously only existed in my head and on paper brought to (virtual) life. That you made quick room in your schedule to share your insights and advice with our audience is truly appreciated by me personally and all of us at CNBC Events."

"The line between public health and clinical medicine is gone. The hospital systems that recognize that operationally are going to run circles around the ones that still treat them as separate budgets.", Ashish Jha, MD, MPH
"Value-based care is not failing because the idea is wrong. It is failing in the places where leadership teams treat it as a contract category instead of an operational redesign.", Ashish Jha, MD, MPH
